Where the money goes
Same commission. Different destination.
Scottish Island Holidays is run by Isle Develop CIC, a woman-led social enterprise based in Tiree.
We take a commission on each booking, like any booking site. The difference is what happens to it next.
Our share of your booking, in order
- Card payments
The first 2% covers the cost of processing your payment.
- Running the place
The rest pays island staff, advertises island properties and keeps the business going.
- Everything left over
100% of the profit goes back into the islands as subsidised digital help for island businesses, charities and community groups.

The small (but important) print
Asset locked, by law
Nobody can take a dividend or profit personally. If the business ever closes, our Articles say everything we own passes to another island community group.
Who we are
Isle Develop CIC. Joining digital dots.
We build websites and simple digital tools for community groups, charities and small businesses. When a community needs to move quickly, we build the website or campaign so volunteers can get on with the real work.
We’re Gaelic-speaking and build bilingual sites as standard. Our directors run small island businesses of their own, and we’ll tell you honestly whether we can help.
“Our favourite things are projects that matter, for people who care.”
Your bookings subsidise this for island groups

- Strategy and reviewsDigital strategy, options appraisals, feasibility studies and independent reviews for funded projects.
- Using AI properlyWhere it saves time, where it doesn’t, and how to use it without losing your brand, your data protection or your personality.

Why it matters
The island challenges we’re working on
- Getting through the low season and the winter months
- Ferry disruption and what it does to access
- School leavers who have to leave for college or a job
- Too few long-term homes for teachers and emergency service workers
- Islanders who rely on income from letting their property
- Visitors who want to look after the place as much as we do
